Is Michigan State, Baylor North?
This week’s episode is a little bit different than most. The school that we’ve come to cheer for and admire, Michigan State University, has come under fire for its mishandling of sexual assault on campus. Most notably, former world renowned Olympic doctor Larry Nassar was found guilty of sexually assaulting over 150 women. Some of these assaults were on MSU’s campus. This happened while the administration turned a blind eye and, oftentimes, sought to cover up what was happening.
This isn’t all that’s happening in East Lansing, however, as ESPN has sought to try to tie the basketball and football programs at Michigan State in to what happened with Larry Nassar. Obes and Cha take a deep dive into the situation to try and determine, based of what is currently known, what’s fact and what is fiction.
Thankfully, on a much lighter note, good friend of the show Charles McDonald (@FourVerts) stopped by to regale us with stories from his time at the Senior Bowl. He got to meet Atlanta Falcons head coach Dan Quinn, Dallas Cowboys owner/GM Jerry Jones, AND he even got to watch all-trash first team member Josh Allen practice. How fun!
All that and more, this week on The Chicken Social.
