Why can’t people see the difference between raisins and chocolate chips?

“Oatmeal raisin cookies that look like chocolate chip cookies are the reason I have trust issues.”

I’ve seen this “joke” a few too many times and I’ve had just about enough. Chocolate chip cookies don’t look the same as oatmeal raisin cookies and I harshly judge those who think they do. Let’s examine further:

This is a chocolate chip cookie

gooey greatness, not a raisin in sight

This is an oatmeal raisin cookie

decidedly not a chocolate chip cookie

Look at the difference in color, the difference in texture. Why would you get them confused? Additionally, since you’re supposedly a functioning adult and realize the two cookies exist, why wouldn’t you look at the thing before you eat it.

Little children shouldn’t have trouble determining which is which, you’re an idiot if you can’t either.
